Hannah Fisher, State Board of Higher Education
Ms. Hannah Fisher was appointed to the Board in July 2007. Ms.
Fisher currently attends Portland State University, majoring in Political Science.
Fisher is the Outreach Coordinator the for Disabilities Advocacy Cultural Association at PSU, where her job is to assess and solve the needs of students who approach DACA for help, in addition to advocating for disabled students through various avenues of the administration and families. She formerly served as the university affairs director for the Associated Students of Portland State University, working with other student and administrative teams to coordinate sustainable energy use at PSU and to organize campus outreach and educational events. Always an advocate for the importance of young voices in all areas of society, Fisher hosted the local commercial television show "Teen Edition" in association with Comcast and The American Teen Television Network. With a diverse Portland employment history, she has worked with the Oregon Student Association as a lobbyist on behalf of Oregon University students and as a buyer for Buffalo Exchange. Fisher has received several speaking and debate awards, and is a 2006 graduate of Grant High in Portland.
Her term expires June 2011.
