BOARD ORIENTATION AND DEVELOPMENT WORKING GROUP

BUDGET AND FINANCE

JOINT BOARDS WORKING GROUP

The State Board of Higher Education's Board Orientation and Development Working Group (an ad hoc committee comprised of several Board members), the Committee on Budget and Finance, and the Joint Boards Working Group will hold meetings in accordance with the dates, locations, and schedules listed below.

TUESDAY, JUNE 30, 1998

2:30 - 4 p.m. Board Orientation and Development Working Group
Teleconference -- locations include the Eugene and Portland Chancellor's offices

The purpose of the meeting is to initiate a formalized Board development and orientation process.

TUESDAY, JULY 7, 1998

9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Budget and Finance Committee
Rooms 327/8, Smith Memorial Center
Portland State University

The Committee will continue to discuss and refine the new budget model.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 8, 1998

11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Joint Boards Working Group
Room 251B, Public Service Building
255 Capitol St. NE, Salem

The Committee, which includes members of the State Board of Higher Education and State Board of Education, will discuss technology/distance education and access issues pertaining to K-12, community colleges, and the higher education systems.
