Oregon University System Announces Town Hall Meetings

PORTLAND - The Oregon University System (OUS) today announced the final schedule for a series of Town Hall Meetings hosted by Chancellor Richard S. Jarvis at each of the seven OUS campuses this fall. Chancellor Jarvis will present "What's the Big Deal?" which centers on Oregon's dependence on public universities to provide new ideas, new services, and a highly trained workforce that will build and sustain the state in the 21st century. Following the presentation, he will engage in a dialogue with attendees.

Chancellor Jarvis was selected in May 2002 as the 11th Chancellor of OUS. The Town Hall Meetings provide a unique opportunity for the community to meet the Chancellor and engage in a dialogue about the future of public higher education in Oregon. The schedule of Town Halls follows:
