| February 26, 2001 Contact: Bob Bruce, 503-725-5714 State Board to Meet March, Appoint New SOU President EUGENE - The State Board of Higher Education has scheduled a special meeting on Friday, March 2 in Ashland to select and appoint a new president for Southern Oregon University. The selection will come from a pool of three finalists that have been interviewing with SOU faculty, staff, students and members of the University's search and screening committees this week. Finalists include: Marvin Henberg, vice president for academic affairs, Linfield College; Bryan M. Johnston, dean of the Atkinson Graduate School of Management, Willamette University; and Elisabeth A. Zinser, vice president of the University of Kentucky. Friday's special meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the Rogue River Rooms A/D of SOU's Stevenson Union. The meeting is open to the public. |
