Executive Committee, Joint Boards Meet Friday
PORTLAND - The Executive Committee of the Oregon State Board of Higher Education and the Joint Boards of Education will meet Friday, Jan. 18 at Portland State University.
Topping the agenda for Friday's Executive Committee meeting, to be held at 11:30 a.m. in Rooms 327-329, Smith Memorial Center, will be discussion of a private foundation's proposal to privatize the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls. OIT officials will present the proposal. Other agenda items include the State Board's consideration of a real property gift at Eastern Oregon University, LaGrande, discussion of Governor John Kitzhaber's statewide budget reduction plans, and a report on the audit process for verifying the future budget concerns at Oregon State University, Corvallis.
The Joint Boards will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. in the same location to consider revised Associate of Arts/Oregon Transfer Degree Guidelines, to discuss integration of CIM/CAM/PREP/PASS and graduation requirements and to explore workforce issues and responses.
Both meetings are open to the public.
