Proposed Tuition and Fees for Academic Year 2014-15 and Summer 2015

The OUS 2014-15 Academic Year and 2015 Summer Session Draft Fee Book is provided to encourage and allow public comment prior to submittal to the Oregon State Board of Higher Education for approval.  Substantive policy changes have been highlighted in red. 

With the passage of SB 270 (2013) and effective July 1, 2014, the University of Oregon, Portland State University and Oregon State University will set their tuition and fee rates under the governance of their own institutional boards, separately from the State Board of Higher Education.  Each of these institutions has prepared a complete, institution specific, tuition and fee book which has been approved by their individual intuitional boards prior to being presented to the State Board of Higher Education.  Tution and fee information for those universities for 2014-15 and Summer 2015 can be viewed at the following websites:

The public comment period extends from April 21, 2014 until 5:00 pm, May 2, 2014.

Submittal of the final recommendation to the Board is scheduled for June 6, 2014 with campuses presenting their proposals to the Finance and Administration Committee on May 16, 2014.

Important Information for online submissions:  Commensurate with the requirements for public hearings, we ask that you include all of the following in your email submission:

  • association with the University System (i.e. student, faculty, parent, concerned citizen, etc.) 

As your submissions will become part of the public record, please present your comments in a professional and constructive manner.  Any comments submitted without identifying information will not be considered.

Deadline for electronic submission of comments is 5:00 pm, May 2, 2014.  Comments will be compiled and submitted to the Board for consideration.
