Environmental Health and Safety
It is the intent of the Oregon University System to provide a safe and healthy environment for employees, students and visitors. This webpage provides information on regulatory requirements and safety-related policies to assist in reducing hazards and to promote safe practices within the Oregon University System.
Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)
Recordkeeping: OSHA has requirements for recording work-related injuries and illnesses. Each university within the Oregon University System maintains an OSHA 300 log and posts the OSHA 300A, the Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, every year from February 1 to April 30.
OSHA's recordkeeping forms can be found here: http://www.osha.gov/recordkeeping/RKforms.html
Inspections: The Occupational Safety and Health Act authorizes OSHA to conduct workplace inspections. If notice of an inspection is received or an OSHA inspector arrives to complete an inspection, contact your University Risk Manager or Environmental Health and Safety Manager.
