Bank Account Administration
All Cash and cash equivalents owned by Oregon University System universities must be safeguarded consistent with Oregon Public Fund Laws. The System works closely with Oregon State Treasury to manage its cash and cash equivalents prudently and safely.
Oregon State statue requires that all moneys belonging to the Oregon University System be held at the Oregon State Treasury. Limited exceptions may be permitted with the permission of the Oregon State Treasury. These are typically limited to accounts held on behalf of but not owned by System universities such as third party property management and retainage accounts. If you believe you need to open a new bank account, for any reason, please contact Penny Burgess for specific guidance.
