Senate Bill 242 Reports
Health and Welfare Plan and Optional Retirement Plan Reports
Senate Bill 242 of the 76th Oregon Legislative Assembly redefined the Oregon University as a public university system with the authority and independence to manage affairs, operations and obligations, and grants broad authority to purchase insurance. Section 43 directs the Oregon State Board of Higher Education to establish committees to evaluate the optional retirement plan described in ORS 243,800 and three options for group health and welfare insurance benefit plans. The Oregon State Board of Higher Education transmitted the reports to the Legislative Asembly on November 29, 2012.
Preliminary reports and committee proceedings are available for review. The final reports will be available on this page when the state legislature confirms they have been assigned to committee. See the State Board of Higher Education meetings schedule for additional information.
